2.3m Wide Kit – Georgian Style Wall Panelling – 7x 1130mm High x 320mm Wide – WITH BACKBOARDS

Elevate the aesthetic appeal of your home with our classic 2.3m Wide Kit – Georgian Style Wall Panelling – 7x 1130mm High x 320mm Wide – WITH BACKBOARDS. This exquisite design pays homage to the grand interiors of the eighteenth century, bringing a touch of architectural elegance to modern residential spaces. By choosing this decorative solution, you are investing in a timeless look that provides depth, character, and sophistication to any room in your property.

The beauty of this Georgian Style Wall Panelling lies in its precise proportions and symmetry. Each panel is crafted to create a balanced visual rhythm that draws the eye and makes your walls a focal point of interior design. Whether you are aiming for a heritage aesthetic or a contemporary twist on classic themes, these panels provide the necessary structure to anchor your interior decor themes effectively.

Unrivalled Material Quality for Modern Living

We believe that premium style should never come at the expense of durability. All of our wall panelling components are manufactured from high density Medite Premium Moisture Resistant MDF. This material choice is fundamental to the longevity of the installation, especially in environments where humidity and temperature fluctuations are common.

  • The combination of 9mm thick front panels and 6mm thick backboards creates a robust composite structure that resists warping or bowing over time.
  • The moisture resistant properties of the Medite board ensure that the material remains stable even when subjected to the ambient moisture found in kitchens or bathrooms.
  • You will find that the surface is incredibly smooth, providing a perfect canvas for painting or priming to match your chosen interior colour palette.

By utilising this high grade composite material, we ensure that your panelling remains rigid and aesthetically pleasing for years to come. This structural integrity prevents the unsightly cracks and shifts often associated with lower quality timber alternatives, offering a seamless finish that looks as good as it feels.

Pro Tip: When installing in high moisture areas, ensure all edges are properly sealed with a high quality primer or paint to maintain the integrity of the moisture resistant core for the life of the product.

Mechanical Physics and Structural Stability

The engineering behind this panelling system is based on the principles of mechanical load distribution and material density. When you fix these panels to your wall, you are creating a secondary structural layer that reinforces the surface underneath. Because the backboards provide a solid substrate for the decorative sections, the entire assembly becomes resistant to accidental impacts, such as furniture knocks or daily wear in high traffic hallways.

The resistance to bending is achieved through the 15mm total thickness provided by the stacked MDF design. This thickness creates a high level of bending stiffness, ensuring the panels do not flex when you lean against them. Furthermore, the uniform density of Medite MDF prevents uneven expansion and contraction, which is the leading cause of joint separation in traditional wood panelling.

Step by Step Installation Workflow

Interacting with this kit is a straightforward process designed for both professional decorators and confident homeowners. First, you must ensure that your wall surface is clean, dry, and flat to allow for optimal adhesion. You then position the end post to set your starting boundary, creating a vertical reference line for the rest of your panels.

  • Apply a high strength adhesive or mechanical fixings to the back of the backboard component, ensuring even distribution of pressure across the entire surface area.
  • Press the panelling firmly against the wall, using a spirit level to verify that the vertical alignment remains consistent throughout the installation.
  • Continue to attach subsequent panels by aligning the edges precisely, which maintains the continuous flow of the Georgian style across your room.
  • Finish the edges with your chosen paint or lacquer, allowing the material to cure fully before adding any final trim or decorative moulding.

The interaction between the user and this hardware is designed to be intuitive. By following the sequence of prep, position, fix, and finish, you achieve a professional result without the need for complex carpentry skills or heavy duty power tools.

Ergonomic Benefits and Safety Compliance

Investing in high quality wall coverings has significant impacts on the comfort and safety of your living environment. Using materials like Medite MDF ensures that the indoor air quality is protected, as this material is specifically designed for indoor use and adheres to strict safety standards. The physical installation process itself is ergonomically efficient, as the panels are lightweight enough to be handled by a single person, reducing the risk of strain or injury during the application phase.

By effectively covering rough or uneven wall surfaces, this kit reduces the potential for dust accumulation in wall cracks, contributing to a healthier home atmosphere. The finished surface is also easier to clean than wallpaper or raw plaster, requiring only a simple wipe down to maintain a hygienic environment in your kitchen or bathroom.

Commercial ROI and Long Term Investment Value

In a commercial or residential setting, this panelling provides exceptional return on investment through its sheer durability. Unlike cheaper alternatives that may require frequent maintenance or replacement due to peeling, cracking, or water damage, this Georgian Style Wall Panelling is built to withstand the rigours of everyday life. This durability significantly lowers the lifecycle cost of your interior decor.

From an asset management perspective, installing high quality wall panelling improves the overall valuation of a property. Prospective buyers or tenants view well executed panelling as a high end feature, justifying a premium in terms of property price or rental yield. By protecting the underlying walls from damage, the kit also serves as a defensive layer that prevents expensive plaster repairs down the line.
